With One UI 5.0, Samsung brings many new features and improvements to make using your smartphone more comfortable. App notifications

From here, you can choose which apps are allowed to send you notifications. After opening this option, a list of apps appears, you can turn the toggle on if you want to receive notifications from that app.

Lock screen notification

You can check notifications on the lock screen and also just need to turn on the toggle.

• Hide content: You can hide the content of the notification by turning on this option.
• Notification to show: There are two options, you can select any one:
  1. Alert and silent notifications
  2. Alert notifications only
• Show on Always On Display: You can also allow notifications to show to AOD.

Notification pop-up style

You can select any one pop-up style from Brief and Detailed options for notification.

Brief

If you choose the brief pop-up style, then the below-mentioned options become visible.

• Apps to Show as brief
• Edge lighting style
• Color by keyword
• Show even while the screen is off

Detailed 

If you select detailed options, all the notification pop-ups will appear as detailed.

Do not disturb

DND feature mutes calls and alerts except for your selected exceptions. This feature is very helpful as it saves us from unnecessary annoying calls, messages, and notifications without turning off the mobile or muting the sound.

You can set your own convenient time when you want no one to disturb you. Also, you can select which important people’s calls or messages you want to receive even after enabling the DND feature.
