RAM Plus! The name itself defines the working of this feature and enhances the RAM of your devices by using the smartphone’s storage. This feature has come to many devices with One UI 4.1 and it comes on by default. But what if we don’t need it because we already have a smartphone with decent RAM?
Now you do not need to worry because Samsung has also answered this question with its latest One UI update. With One UI 5.0, Samsung has provided an option to disable the RAM Plus feature in Galaxy smartphones so that users whose smartphones have efficient memory can also disable it and enhance the performance.
Samsung RAM Plus Feature
Samsung introduced the RAM Plus or Virtual RAM feature with One UI 4.0 for all flagship devices. With One UI 4.1, the company made it more advanced by adding the ability of customization with options including 2GB, 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB, however, all options are not available for every device.
The RAM Plus feature brings significant improvements with the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update as it brings disables the RAM Plus feature toggle. By turning off this feature, your smartphone performance will improve.
Samsung’s RAM Plus feature allows you to use your smartphone’s storage space to provide virtual memory. You can choose more virtual memory to allow more apps to stay open in the background.
How to disable RAM Plus feature in One UI 5.0?
If you want to disable the features, then you can easily do that by following the steps mentioned below.
- Open Settings on your Galaxy smartphone.
- Tap on the Battery and device care menu.
- Select the Memory option.
- Click on the RAM Plus option.
- Turn off the toggle to disable RAM Plus Feature.
