Samsung’s One UI 5.0 Beta program has reached the 4th Beta for the Galaxy S22 series. At the SDC22, Samsung showcased One UI 5.0 features and changes that include a fancy battery widget, which is not available in the Beta version.

For the personalization of Galaxy devices, the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update will bring new customization capabilities directly from the lockscreen. Moreover, you will be able to stack a number of widgets to keep the screen clean, alongside the advanced Smart Suggestions widget.

Meanwhile, Twitter page @SamsonUpdate spotted a new yet fancy battery widget that could debut with the Stable version of One UI 5.0. As showcased by Samsung, the new battery widget shows the current battery charge level of your Galaxy phone alongside other paired devices including S Pen, smartwatch and wireless earbuds.

Similar to other One UI widgets, the new battery widget appears to let users customize the size in two versions including 4×1 and 4×2. The former version displays battery percentage in circular tabs that look similar to the camera system of the S22 Ultra.

The latter occupies more space on the homescreen, almost the same as Smart Suggestions widget. As it’s occupying more space, it mentions “Battery” text in the header, while there’s a dedicated section with a grayish appearance to show battery level of paired devices with device icons, name, battery bar and percentage.

At present, the Galaxy phone’s battery level can be at the top right corner of the display. However, if you want to get to know about the battery status of the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, you need to check the Galaxy Wearable app and the S Pen’s battery status in the S Pen menu.

Samsung announced that the Galaxy S22 series will get Stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update this month.
