Samsung Galaxy S21 Modes and Routines: One UI 5.0

The features you use for your morning routine to wake you up and energize you may not be the same as the features that keep you focused during the whole workday. Therefore, One UI 5.0 brings you Modes and Routines that you can customize to adjust settings for different scenes.

When you open the One UI 5.0 Modes and Routines menu, you will see it divided into two parts, such as “Modes” and “Routines”.

Modes:

Modes let you customize settings for different parts of your life. Samsung has pre-set some modes that you can activate and edit with ease after answering some simple questions. These can help customers focus on what matters the most through simple automation. The pre-set modes include:

  1. Sleep
  2. Driving
  3. Exercise
  4. Relax
  5. Work

Simply tap on any of the desired options, turn it on, and you can customize it according to your needs. If the pre-set modes are not enough for you, you can add more by tapping the “Add mode” option.

Routines:

With Routines, you can trigger a sequence of actions on your device based on your activity to navigate your daily habit. Here, you can add your home, work, and other places to activate routines at just the right time.

For example, if you like to listen to music at a particular time, you can set starting and the ending time, so the music will automatically start and stop playing at that time. You can follow the same for other tasks.

When you get to work in the morning, this feature can mute notification sounds and turn on Wi-Fi. Or, when you’re going to sleep, it can lower your screen’s brightness level.
