Samsung has finally opened the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta program for its latest foldable smartphones – Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The beta program is a chance to use and test all of the new features and functions of the latest software prior to the public release.

It’s worth mentioning that only Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 customers in South Korea can apply for One UI 5.0 beta at this time. However, the company will expand this beta activity to more users in other eligible countries very soon.

In order to join the beta program in a qualified country, head over to the “Samsung Members” app on your smartphone. As soon as you open the application, you will see a banner on its home page that says “One UI Beta Program”.

Tap on the banner and “register” for the program by filling in all the asked information. A “new software update” should arrive on your Fold 4 or Flip 4 within around 5-10 minutes of submission. Visit your phone’s “Settings” >> “Software updates” menu and then tap the “Download and install” option to check it.

Meanwhile, to install it, simply hit the “Download” button and wait for a few minutes for the update to be completely downloaded. Once done, “Install” the update and “Restart” your phone. Do note that the update procedure might take some time as this is a major update, so have patience and let your device complete the procedure.
