Other than the latest update, earlier the Galaxy Watch 5 series got support for new Google applications including Google Weather and Google Home apps. These app integrations bring more features and functions to the watches. You can now see the weather of your current location as well as get quick access to smart home controls on your wrist.

It’s worth mentioning that only Verizon is delivering the October 2022 security update for Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 users in the United States while other models are yet to receive it. It’s expected that the company will not take much time to spread it widely.

As of now, you can identify the fresh update for your Watch 5 (40mm) with One UI build version R905USQU1AVI2, Watch 5 (44mm) with R915USQU1AVI2, and Watch 5 Pro (45mm) with R925USQU1AVI2.

Meanwhile, to install it, visit the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected Android smartphone. From here, go to Watch settings followed by the Watch software update menu, and tap on Watch software update on the Home tab. Finally, tap the Download and install option.
