It is no secret that Samsung is preparing for the Galaxy S23 series smartphone. In fact, a lot of details about these phones have leaked in the past weeks and now the top model – Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra benchmarked with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Our folks at MySmartPrice have recently revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone has visited the US’s Geekbench database with model number SM-S918U. The report further suggets a couple of key specifications of the device.

According to the information, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a performance boost compared to the current Galaxy S22 Ultra model as it features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM.

It has a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz, three CPU cores operating at 2.02GHz, and four 2.8GHz cores for a total of eight CPU cores. An Adreno 740 GPU will take care of the graphical needs of the device.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the device runs Android 13 OS. It’s likely that the custom software will be One UI 5.1. It’s worth mentioning that Samsung has recently confirmed One UI 5.1 in a blog post, suggesting that it’s already under development.

Galaxy S23 will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 exclusively:

Samsung has been launching its flagship S- series phones with distinct processors in select markets. While the US, South Korea, and other some other countries get the Snapdragon processor, the same device in European countries gets the Exynos chip model.

However, the performance is Samsung-made Exynos is significantly lower than the Snapdragon. Therefore, the company is reportedly planning to bring the Galaxy S23 models with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset exclusively.
