Samsung plans to expand Eco Box globally by 2030

At authorized service centers in 34 countries, Samsung installed the mobile waste collection Eco Box. The countries where Samsung’s service centers use Eco Box include the US, Brazil, and Spain.

By 2030, the South Korean tech giant plans to expand and build ‘mobile waste collection boxes’ (Eco Box) in all 180 countries globally, where, Samsung products are sold.

Samsung said that the mobile phones collected in the Eco Box are separated and recycled in units of materials such as battery raw in cooperation with specialized companies certified by respective countries.

Consumers can conveniently dispose of their Galaxy smartphones through the service center and take part in activities to improve the global environment through recycling.

Global CS Center VC at Samsung said:

“We will maximize resource circulation by establishing a cooperative system with various recycling partners to expand recycling and minimize waste generation.”

Eco Delivery

Samsung service centers in 7 major markets including Germany and UK are providing ‘Eco Delivery’ using bicycles or electric vehicles to deliver repaired products to the customer’s desired location.
