[Updated] T-Mobile starts Android 13 development for 26 Samsung devices (One UI 5.0)

Samsung confirmed that the Stable One UI 5.0 update will start rolling out to Galaxy devices by October 2022, meanwhile, T-Mobile published Android 13 development page for eligible devices. According to T-Mobile support, Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update is under development for 26 Samsung devices.

Anyways, the carrier’s testing of the new OS won’t last too long, at least for the Galaxy S22 series. If the Korean tech giant seeds Stable version this month, T-Mobile consumers should expect the same treatment within a few weeks or a month, due to additional testing and firmware verification for native features.

Update:

  • October 30: Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone users have started to get the Android 13 update with One UI 5.0 features by T-Mobile network carrier in the United States.

Apart from the Galaxy S22 series, T-Mobile lists almost every eligible Samsung device for the Android 13 upgrade, sold by the carrier in the United States. The list includes 4th gen foldables, mid-range and budget Galaxy A phones alongside the Galaxy A51 and A71.

The availability may vary by model and location but it’s confirmed that the flagship devices launched recently will have access to the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 earlier than the older flagships and mid-range/budget ones. You can check the list below.

Foldables: Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G, Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G

S series: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S20 FE.

Note series: Galaxy Note 20 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G

Tab series: Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Plus

A series: Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy A71 5G, Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy A13 5G, Galaxy A23 5G, and Galaxy A53 5G.

Note: More Samsung devices are eligible for Android 13 update that are not listed by T-Mobile.
