Samsung recently revealed its Q3 2022 earning results, which suggets a major fall over last year. It looks like the situation will remain the same in the coming year as the Korean company has set a target to sell around 270 million Samsung Galaxy smartphones next year.

270 million is too low when compared to the usual 300 million targets of the company. It’s worth mentioning that in 2017, Samsung’s shipment figures reached at 320 million. A high decline can be seen in these years.

By the end of this year, the company could only ship around 260 million smartphones, which is a decline of 10 million units compared to last year. However, if Samsung could meet the target to sell 270 million smartphones in 2023, it will be a huge growth.

The report from Korean media Naver further claims that Samsung will increase its share of foldable phones in its annual shipment targets. The heads are looking to sell over 60 million Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series flagship smartphones.

Furthermore, Samsung has set such Conservative targets due to the market conditions, which are not favorable to it at present time. But now the company is trying to improve its profitability and sell a large number of smartphones in the coming time.

Furthermore, Korean tech has selected an annual smartphone shipment target of over 300 million units since 2017. It replaced this the following year with a strategy of protecting profits by increasing the proportion of premiums, rather than giving up on profitability by selling too many low-priced products.

The report also suggets that next year’s new products will be differentiated by design improvement, durability enhancement, and wrinkle improvement. Samsung also says that the balance of the high-priced Galaxy S-series Ultra will also increase by nearly 50%.
