Samsung Galaxy S23 could feature Light mode to reduce power consumption
Samsung Galaxy S23 series is coming and it is expected to introduce so many advanced features. With each passing day, we are getting familiar with the new functions of all these devices. Meanwhile, the latest information claims that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will equip a Light mode.
Recently, a very well-known tipster named Ice Universe has revealed that the Light mode (or Low Power mode) on upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 devices will greatly reduce power consumption without affecting refresh rates, however, will marginally degrade device performance.

As we can see in the screenshots shared by tipster, there are two modes: Standard and Light. When the Standard mode is enabled, it will provide the recommended balance between processing speed, battery life, and cooling efficiency. The Light mode on the other hand will prioritize battery life and cooling efficiency over processing speed.

This feature will be helpful in conditions when your phone is running out of battery and you need your phone to be turned on. The screenshot also says that these settings will not apply to games. You can manage the game performance in Game Booster settings.
Furthermore, at the present time, Ice Universe only says that this feature is coming with Galaxy S23 series and there is o indication whether other Galaxy phones will get it on not. Probably, it could roll out to at least flagship smartphones with the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 update.
