Snapdragon chip almost confirmed for Samsung Galaxy S23 globally

Samsung appears to be ending the two-chipset strategy for flagship smartphones in 2023. Samsung shipped 75% of Galaxy S22 series devices with Snapdragon chipsets globally, which is now almost confirmed to be 100% for the Galaxy S23 series, as confirmed by Qualcomm’s CFO.

According to the latest information, Qualcomm’s CFO revealed that the company had a huge benefit from Samsung as it used 75% Snapdragon chipsets in the Galaxy S22 series. Moreover, the official added that the 75% share of the Galaxy S22 series is expanding globally with the Galaxy S23 series in 2023.

Cristiano Amon, Qualcomm President and Chief Executive Officer said that the company entered into a new multiyear agreement with Samsung to expand the use of Snapdragon platforms for future premium Samsung Galaxy products globally.

The official also revealed that the company is going to announce its next-generation Snapdragon processor at the scheduled Tech Summit in a couple of weeks. During the Tech Summit in mid-November, Qualcomm probably launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that will debut with S23 series globally.

Earlier, a Korean media report revealed that Samsung is planning to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in the first week of February next year. The in-person even is likely to be held in San Francisco, United States to unveil the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra smartphones.
