One UI 5.0 (Android 13) update for Galaxy S22 available in these countries

On October 24, Samsung started the Stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update rollout for the Galaxy S22 series devices. Initially, the update has begun to release in select European countries, and, later expanded to markets outside Europe.

Along with the Stable One UI 5.0, Samsung has also debuted the most-awaited Good Lock module, dedicated to Camera settings. Unlike Google and Apple, the South Korean tech giant follows the phase-wise update distribution strategy so it can re-verify the stability of the firmware.

The Galaxy S22’s Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update is rolling out in various European countries, while users from South Korea and India have also confirmed the availability. The Beta participants from eligible countries get an incremental OTA that will turn the Beta firmware into Stable.

On the flip side, general Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra users are receiving the full package that weighs around 2.5GB and includes October 2022 security patch. It’s worth mentioning that carrier-branded models get new firmware with slight delay than the international variants due to carrier certification.
