With One UI 5.0, Samsung added new features and options to the Photo Editor app to make it more user-friendly.

Let’s see what Samsung upgrades in the Photo Editor app (mainly the My stickers option) with One UI 5.0.

My Sticker option

The My Stickers option in the stickers section of the Samsung photo editor app comes with the One UI 5.0, which is represented by a gallery icon. When you tap on the My Stickers option, a plus icon appears which allows you to select any image from the gallery and convert it into a sticker.

Once you create a sticker, the next time that sticker will already appear in the My Sticker option, you will not need to create the same sticker again.

Lasso function

Samsung has added the Lasso function with One UI 5.0 to make it easier and more creative to create stickers by selecting any image from the gallery.

Now when you select an image from the gallery to make a sticker, you can see that there are 2 new options for cropping:

  • Free form: With this option, you can select as much area as you want by making any shape according to you.
  • Shape: This allows you to select any area of shapes including circle, square, triangle, heart, and star.

Good Lock’s NotiStar lacks detailed notification access on Samsung devices

Samsung NotiStar Notification

Samsung NotiStar is one of the Good Lock modules, which offers notification management services to efficiently handle received notifications. Users of eligible Galaxy devices can manage, search, and categorize notifications as needed to ensure all relevant alerts are readily accessible before deletion.

However, recent user feedback has mentioned a specific part for improvement regarding navigation within NotiStar. Users have expressed disappointment when trying to retrieve missed or accidentally deleted push notifications, as clicking on notifications only launches the associated app without providing access to detailed content.

This limitation is mainly noticeable when notifications lead to specific pages or actions via deep links, where users can only view the notification title.

In response, a community moderator has confirmed that Samsung NotiStar currently does not support direct navigation to detailed notification locations. However, Samsung will enhance NotiStar app functions in future updates.

Samsung NotiStar Notification Access

Previously, Samsung NotiStar brought Flip 5 Cover widget support, displaying bigger images for notification function, and long press notifications to save image feature. The Korean tech giant has already started providing One UI 6.1.1 support to some Good Lock modules and NotiStar will soon receive it.
