Samsung Bixby is an easy way to control your phone and make commands by speaking aloud. The company is now improving its voice assistant with the introduction of a new language to help global users get more things done with their devices. Recently, Samsung announced that the Bixby AI voice assistant now supports the Latin American Spanish language.

Previously, Bixby only supported the Brazilian Portuguese language, but now other Latin American Spanish-speaking users around the world have the option to interact with their Samsung Galaxy devices in their local language.

Latin American Spanish support means even more Samsung Galaxy users can now count on the intelligence and convenience of Bixby, especially in the United States, which is the second-largest Spanish-speaking country and the region with the most Bixby users.

Furthermore, the Korean company has already started providing the Latin American Spanish language for Bixby customers through a software update. Currently, it’s only available for select Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

However, the company has also told that support for more devices will roll out soon. The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 customers will get it in December 2022, while other devices are planned to get it in early 2023.

Advantages of Bixby:

Similar to a real-world personal assistant, Samsung’s Bixby is a powerful, intelligent voice assistant that helps Galaxy customers navigate their devices and organize their lives.

Using Bixby, you can open apps and settings, remember appointments and tasks and generally reduce everyday hassles. It can even communicate with others by answering calls, composing messages, and others.

Bixby’s future:

In the past few years, Samsung Bixby’s popularity has grown immensely. Its registered users are now more than doubled, surpassing 200 million this year. The company aims to further develop Bixby and provide more advancements to customers.

At the Samsung Developer Conference 2022, the company outlined other recent developments, including new Smart Home features. As users expand their connected ecosystems, Bixby’s voice control and seamless integration with devices will play a key role in monitoring and managing every room in the home.

Young Jip Kim, Samsung’s EVP and Head of the Artificial Intelligence Team at the Mobile eXperience Business said

When Samsung launched Bixby nearly five years ago, we committed to continue improving this intelligent platform with new technologies and key partners that enable more experiences. We are proud to bring Bixby to the millions of people who speak Latin American Spanish, joining the more than 200 million people already using Bixby from nearly 400 million devices worldwide.
