In the smartphone industry, it’s a season of the rollout of the newest Android 13 operating system, but, some Samsung Galaxy S20 series smartphone users ‘mysteriously’ receive an Android 12-based One UI 4 update.

On November 7, the Galaxy S20 series started to get the official One UI 5.0 update in select European countries. Since then, the company is gradually expanding its reach to the S20 series smartphone users in more markets.

Users having affected models shared this concern on different social media platforms such as Twitter and Reddit. For authenticity, they also posted screenshots of update that reminds us of last year’s rollout, that already happened.

The reason behind this mistake is still unknown, but, there are high chances of technical problems from Samsung’s update server. However, a user claimed after installing the newly arrived firmware that it’s One UI 5, not One UI 4.
