Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 5.0 (Android 13) update now available in Canada 

Samsung rolled out the stable Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy S22 devices in many countries. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22 users in Canada, who were waiting for the One UI 5.0 update for so long, can now download it.

As scheduled, the Korean company has started to roll out the Android 13 One UI 5.0 update for Samsung Galaxy S22 phones in Canada today. The latest update installs a slew of new features and improvements alongside the latest November 2022 Android security patch for system security enhancements.

What’s new:

There’s a lot to look forward to in the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android software. The One UI 5.0 lets you customize your lock screen in different ways, you can now personalize wallpaper, clock style, notification settings, and more, with live preview all in one place.

The update further brings 16 color palettes and basic color options to make it easy to find the right theme for your phone. Also, the company gets users more wallpaper choices with the improved Wallpaper and Style section.

Moreover, the home screen is receiving a new stack widgets feature to let you create a group of widgets by just dragging and dropping, the notification panel is getting bigger notification icons so that you easily identify the app, and the Settings page is receiving three new menus: Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and privacy to let you manage all related setting with ease.

Other than these, there are many more advanced features like Extract text from images, Per-app language, Notification permissions, the ability to turn off RAM Plus, Camera Watermark, new Good Lock modules, and a new user interface that improves the Quick panel, Notification panel, Settings, and other parts of the system.

How to download:

As soon as this new update reaches your Galaxy S22, it will notify you. In case you want to check it manually you can go to Settings on your phone. Enter the Software update menu and tap on the Download and install option. Now follow a couple of instructions mentioned on your screen and it’s done!
