Samsung brings back the Gallery Widget feature with One UI 5.0, after ditching it in One UI 4.1

Gallery Widget! Have you ever used this feature in your Galaxy smartphone? If you are using a Samsung smartphone that is running on One UI 4.1 software, then you might not have used this feature which was introduced with One UI 4.0 as it was missing in this 4.1 version. But with One UI 5.0, the company has brought back the Samsung Gallery Widget feature with enhancements.

Samsung Gallery Widget feature is back with more options for customization and now you can give it the look you want. When the gallery widget feature came with One UI 4.0, there were not many options in it, and due to some unknown reason, the company removed it in the next One UI 4.1 version.

With One UI 5.0, Samsung has brought back the Gallery Widget feature on its smartphone. Let’s see, all the options for the gallery widget feature and explore them.

Add Gallery Widget to the Home screen

To add the Gallery widget on your smartphone’s Home screen, you have to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Unlock your smartphone, then tap and hold the blank space on your smartphone’s home screen.
  • Click on the Widgets option.

  • Scroll down and select the Gallery option.

 

  • Now, press the Images and Stories [2 x 2].

  • Tap on Add option.

  • Gallery widget added to your smartphone’s home screen.

Gallery Widget New Options

After adding Gallery Widget, you can customize it as you like as there are some options for it. When you tap and hold the Gallery Widget, you can see the three options – Create Stack, Remove, and Settings. By pressing Settings, you can customize Gallery Widget.

  • Center and fill widget
