Samsung and Galaxy A12 grabs November 2022 global Android market

Android is the most popular and widely used smartphone operating system worldwide. Since Google is the creator of Android, Samsung has a big participation in the spread of this OS. In November 2022, Samsung grabs a stunning 34.6% of the global Android market.

In November 2022, Samsung Galaxy’s share in the global Android market is 34.6%, followed by Xiaomi and OPPO with 14.3% and 10.3% respectively. Aside from top 3 Android vendors, Vivo’s share in the global market is 9.8%, followed by Huawei’s 6.7%, completing the top five chart.

Interestingly, the mid-range smartphone Galaxy A12, which launched last year, is the most popular device running Android OS this month, via AppBrain. In figures for Samsung devices, the Galaxy A12’s share in November 2022 Android market is 2.1%, followed by A21s’s 1% and A10s’s 1%.

These three Samsung Galaxy A series handsets are listed on the November 2022’s Android market chart because of their specifications at a competitive price. The phones offer large displays, well-performing chipsets under the hood, and of course larger batteries for all-day battery life.

When it comes to foldables, Samsung is the undeniable leader of the market with plenty of smartphones in its Galaxy Z lineup. The most recent Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are making huge money for Samsung, thanks to innovative features, unique form factor, and of course, worldwide availability.

Globally, about 71% of smartphones run the Android operating system, however, this share goes up to 85% in a handful of markets including Brazil, India, Indonesia, Turkey, and Vietnam, via PhoneArena. Since Apple’s share in the global market is too less, iOS recorded an 8% improvement in the last 5 years.
