Samsung Galaxy S21 FE One UI 5.0 update now available in Canada [Android 13]
Earlier this week, Samsung started to deliver the major Android 13 update in Canada. After the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series phones, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is the latest recipient of the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in Canada.
The company is rolling out the One UI 5.0 update for S21 FE with lots of new features and improvements that will deliver customers a premium experience. It also brings significant changes to the user interface, the app icons are now bolder, animations are smoother, and the Quick settings and Notification panels are more organized.

While considering the features, the major update brings Per-app language to let customers use different apps in different languages, Notification permission to provide more control over system notifications, and Extract text that allows users to copy text from image or screenshot and paste it into messages, notes, etc.

Next, there are now 16 Color Palette options so that you can better select a theme for your Galaxy S21 FE, Enhanced taskbar in Samsung DeX to make it easier to find apps you want to use, as well as more than 80 additional emojis for creating an emoji pair.
Aside from these, the company further brings premium Lock screen customization options that will let you personalize every element of the screen directly from the lock screen. For further customizations, there are three new Good Lock modules available with One UI 5.0.
Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and Privacy are three new menus in the system Settings. Here, you can find all the related settings and easier ways to access them. Samsung brings huge energy-saving opportunity to New York
New York became the first US state to bring retail consumer rebates for appliances under the Inflation Reduction Act. Applauding the move, Samsung launched a huge energy-saving opportunity for the residents of New York.
Samsung started offering up-front discounts to consumers statewide through New York’s IRA HEAR program. Consumers can now access IRA’s Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program.

OpenAI eyes AI integration on Samsung phones like Apple Intelligence
Apple collaborated with OpenAI to power Apple Intelligence features. The ChatGPT maker continues to create obstacles for Google. In a recent move, OpenAI discussed a potential AI partnership with Samsung.
TheInformation (via Reuters) reported that OpenAI has recently discussed powering AI features on Samsung-made devices. It seems the ChatGPT-maker wishes an AI partnership with Samsung to expand its reach in multiple folds.
The company is considering developing a web browser to rival Google’s Chrome. OpenAI recently introduced its search engine called SearchGPT. It is available to limited users alongside internal testers and strategic partners.
Samsung x OpenAI
Samsung and Google’s close partnership doesn’t need any elaboration. The friendship isn’t limited to services, as both firms work across an ecosystem. However, it doesn’t stop Samsung from partnering with OpenAI in favor of better service.
