Qualcomm introduced its next-generation flagship smartphone chip – Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in mid-November 2022. It features Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful technologies including smarter image processing, Qualcomm’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engine, accelerated performance, Wi-Fi 7, and more.

Following the launch, several OEMs started releasing information about upcoming smartphones that will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Soc. Several models are on the list but the Vivo X90 Pro Plus smartphone becomes the first to use this chip.

Let’s see which Android smartphones will be launched soon with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile has a new modem designed for optimal performance from 5G networks and supports Wi-Fi 7 and gets smarter image processing.

It includes a prime core based on the Arm Cortex-X3 clocked at 3.2GHz. It carries four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz (one more than last year) and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz – all between 200 and 300MHz faster than last year’s hardware. Read more here…
