Samsung could beat Apple and Huawei

Apple partnered with Global Star to offer satellite connectivity features on the iPhone 14 models. At the same time, the Chinese company Huawei uses BeiDou satellites to incorporate satellite communication features.

Since Huawei and Apple became the initial manufacturers to introduce smartphones with satellite connectivity, Samsung appears to be bringing true satellite communication with features never seen before.

Apple’s satellite communication is limited to sending rescue requests in emergency situations, while Huawei allows you to send and receive limited text messages using satellites. Well, the report suggests Samsung may allow even image sharing via satellite.

The same report cites that the South Korean tech giant is testing several features via satellite connectivity that are not limited to text messaging, rescue requests in emergencies, and low-quality image sharing.
