Having a good 5G speed is important as we do most of our work through the internet at the present time. To further clarify which phone provides the fastest 5G network, OOKLA conducted a 5G speed test. This test reveals that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the fastest 5G Android device in the US.

After looking at all the numbers reported to OOKLA during the third quarter of 2022, the company has created a list of the top five fastest 5G devices in various countries. As per the information, these top five fastest devices in the United States are from either Samsung or Apple.

It can be clearly seen in the graph that Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro were the fastest 5G devices in the country in Q3 2022. These devices hold a median 5G download speed of 177.21 Mbps and 175.08 Mbps, respectively.

On the other side, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is third on the list at 162.50 Mbps, making it the fastest 5G Android device in the US. But the difference between the top Apple iPhones and Samsung smartphones is huge and it’s quite disappointing for me being a Samsung fan and user.

Moreover, the Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy S22 Ultra, at 140.06 Mbps and 137.42 Mbps, were placed in fourth and fifth positions simultaneously. Although the difference between these two phones is not too much, it’s quite surprising to see Samsung’s most advanced smartphone – Galaxy S22 Ultra below the last year’s Galaxy S21+.

It’s worth mentioning that OOKLA has not only conducted the SpeedTest in the US but in many other countries as well. You can also check the top five fastest 5G smartphones in other countries here.
