Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy M62 smartphones. The major update brings plenty of new features and improvements to this mid-range device and ensures faster and smoother performance.

Initially, the update is rolling out in Malaysia, however, the company will not take much time to spread it to more users in other countries. As of now, you can identify the Samsung Galaxy M62 One UI 5.0 update through firmware version M625FXXU2CVK2.

What’s new:

The latest iteration of Samsung’s software brings 16 color palette options, Lockdown mode, per-app language, notification permission, the ability to turn off RAM Plus, new multitasking gestures – Swipe for Pop-up view and Swipe for Split-screen, Extract text from images, and more.

It further installs various new lock screen customization capabilities that will let you change the size and type of every part of the lock screen. The security of your phone is also significantly improving with the addition of new features and functions on the “Security and Privacy” dashboard.

On the other side, many stock apps are getting multiple new functions. The Camera app gets new features like Watermark, Help guide in Pro mode, Telephoto lens support for Food mode, and others. The Gallery is getting new and improved picture/video editing tools, the Notes app is getting powerful searches, and more.

How to download:

If you are using Galaxy M62 smartphone in Malaysia, you can now get access to the latest One UI software. To do so, head over to the Settings of your phone and navigate to Software update >> Download and install. Tap the Download button and complete the installation procedure.
