Samsung Galaxy A42 5G users can now install Android 13 One UI 5.0 update

Samsung has started delivering the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy A42 5G smartphones. Initially, the update is rolling out in South Korea, however, users in countries will grab will it very soon.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Samsung Galaxy A42 comes with build version A426NKSU2DVK2. Along with a lot of premium new features, user interface changes, and multiple improvements, the latest software update also installs the November 2022 patch for security enhancements.

Some of the most highlighted parts of One UI 5.0 software are revamped Quick settings panel, Notification panel, and Recent menu. It also improves system animations, brings new and bolder app icons, and faster performance.

As far as the new features are concerned, there are new multitasking gestures like Swipe for Split-screen and Swipe for Pop-up view, Per-app language, Lockdown mode for advanced privacy, the ability to disable RAM Plus, Notification permission, Extract text from image feature, Smart Widgets, a new Camera watermark, and many others.

At the same time, there is a bunch of new customization functions. The Lock screen is getting a set of advanced customization options, you can now personalize every element of the screen. There are new call screen backgrounds for each contact, 16 Color Palettes and basic colors for Dynamic Theming, and much more.

Moreover, Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and Privacy are three new compartments in System Settings that lets you manage all the related functions in one place, letting you access select features with ease.

How to install:

As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy A42 One UI 5.0 update is currently only rolling out in the home country. If you are using a South Korean model, you can now visit the Software update menu through System Settings. Now tap on the Download and install option and complete the installation procedure.
