One UI 4.1 Lock Screen:

Samsung One UI 4.1 brought some wonderful customization options to completely revamp the look of your phone’s lock screen. Apart from various security options, the One UI offers Always On Display, many wallpaper services, widgets, notifications, and others.

You can customize everything according to your choices and preferences to make your phone’s lock screen more yours. However, to edit every screen element you have to visit different sections, which might feel a bit inconvenient at some point. And what is not good is that you can not change the wallpapers from these settings.

One UI 5.0 Lock Screen:

Samsung has been offering impressive customizability for your Lock Screen though Good Lock LockStar module for so long. The company has now brought some of these Lock Screen personalization options to stock system settings. Most notably, you get these options directly on the Lock Screen, just tap and hold it.

When you visit the Lock Screen menu through Settings, you will see two small pages which read “Edit Lock screen” and “Edit Widgets”. Tap on the Lock screen option, and your phone’s lock screen will appear in full screen to let you revamp it.

You can disable any of the components of the lock screen from here including the Clock, Notification icons, and App shortcuts, by tapping the “-” icon. Meanwhile, to edit that part, tap on it. Moreover, the “Contact Information” option has now shifted to last so that others can clearly see whom to contact.

Furthermore, you can also edit the app shortcut from here. At the same time, at the top of this edit page, you will see the Wallpaper option. When you tap on it you will directly reach the Wallpaper and style section.

Similarly, you can go to the Edit Widgets option to select which widgets you want to see on the lock screen. And edit some other parts like Screen lock type, Smart Lock, Secure lock settings, Always on Display, and others.

One UI 5.0 Lock screen is incredible. The whole interface is clean and offers you a nice look. It now gives you the ability to personalize elements that you would never have thought of and too directly from the lock screen, you don’t need to visit your phone’s Settings app for this.
