Samsung One UI 5.1 test firmware spotted on possible Galaxy S23 Plus in Korea
Samsung started One UI 5.1 firmware development for the upcoming Galaxy S23 a while back. Now, the new One UI 5.1 test firmware is spotted for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus model in South Korea.
The new test builds have appeared on the popular CheckFirm application. It reveals that Samsung is testing the Galaxy S23 Plus (SM-S916N) model’s One UI 5.1 firmware with build version S916NKSU1AVL1.

Besides these, the CheckFirm application does not reveal anything. On the flip side, the Korean company has almost confirmed the arrival of One UI 5.1 software through an official newsroom post a couple of months ago.

Samsung is currently busy delivering the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 stable updates to its eligible Galaxy devices. Alike the recent One UI 5.0, the forthcoming One UI 5.1 software will also rely on Google’s latest Android 13 operating system.
The One UI 5.1 will brings some more features to the Galaxy devices in addition to lots of improvements over One UI 5.0. At the same time, functions like Bixby Text Call and Multi-User features, which have been removed for global users on current software, will also arrive for everyone with One UI 5.1.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 series will come pre-installed with the new software and we expect that Galaxy S22 series phones will be the first devices to grab it in the first quarter of 2023.
