3 New app widgets added to Galaxy smartphones with Samsung One UI 5.0

Samsung‘s One UI offers widgets for several apps and features to its Galaxy devices. With One UI 5.0, the company adds more app widgets to eligible Galaxy devices to enjoy new Samsung features.

If you are using a Galaxy smartphone running on Android 13 based One UI 5.0, then you can see three new apps and features widgets in the Widget section. You can easily add them to the home screen to easily access that feature or app without going to the Apps drawer or Settings.

How to add a Widget?

You can easily add widgets of any app on your home screen just need to follow a few steps. First, tap and hold the blank space on your smartphone’s home screen >> tap on Widgets >> select any app or feature >> click on add option and it is done.

Gallery 

Samsung brings back the Gallery Widget feature with One UI 5.0, which was ditched with One UI 4.1. But with the comeback of this widget with the One UI 5.0 update, the company added new options to customize it.

When you tap and hold the Gallery Widget, you can see the three options – Create Stack, Remove, and Settings. By pressing Settings, you can customize Gallery Widget as you like.

Smart Suggestions

This widget suggests useful apps or actions based on how you use your smartphone. With the use of One UI 4.1’s Smart Suggestions feature, the One UI 5.0 software shows 8 apps inside the widget on your home screen. If you tap and hold anywhere on the widget area, additional settings will appear, letting you create a Stack Widget and remove it as well.

Furthermore, you can resize it in two resolutions – 4 x 2 and 5 x 1. It means that if you resize it in 5 x 1, then you can see 5 apps inside the widget.

Modes and Routines

Samsung One UI 5.0 adds Modes and Routines tab to Galaxy smartphone’s Settings. In addition, you can also add the Modes and Routines widget. It allows users to easily check, and add edit Routines and Modes. Through the widget, you can add a single routine or multiple routines on your smartphone’s home screen.
