The number of smartphones and wearable devices supporting Qi charging technology is increasing, with many brands introducing their own wireless chargers. And now Tesla, the company known for its electric cars, has officially announced its wireless charging platform, which beats Samsung and Apple in terms of price.

This Tesla wireless charging platform is inspired by the “angular design and metallic styling of Cybertruck”. It has an aluminum housing with an Alcantara surface and a detachable magnetic stand that can be removed so you can lay the charger flat on a plane surface.

Interestingly, the device does not require alignment, you can place your smartphone, smartwatch, or earbuds, anywhere on the pad and it will start charging, all because of the FreePower technology used to manufacture this charging platform.

Moreover, with a maximum speed of 15W, the new Tesla wireless charger can charge up to three devices simultaneously. Obviously, you should make sure that the device you wish to charge through this charger supports Qi charging technology.

It’s worth mentioning that if you are using a Samsung Galaxy Watch or Google Pixel Watch, you won’t be able to charge it through this product as these wearable lineups do not use Qi charging. However, you can charge your flagship Galaxy or Pixel smartphone using this charger.

Last but not least, the Tesla wireless charging pad costs $300, while Samsung 15W Wireless Charger Duo is available for $90 and Apple’s MagSafe starts at $39. Well, Tesla’s charger will be available for purchase in February 2023. Once the device will go on sale, you can get one through the official website, linked here.
