Samsung demonstrates PMIC and Security Solutions
Samsung recently hosted its Tech Day 2022 event where it unveiled new technologies for different industries like an iToF sensor for future camera experience, Silicon technologies for dream displays, and more. At the same time, Samsung also demonstrates PMIC and Security Solutions.
Hwa-Yeal Yu, the Vice President of the Samsung Security and Power Product Development Team, believes that reliability and safety are the most important elements to bring next-generation technology to life.
PMIC acts like a heart pumping blood through the circulatory system in the body. Since the number of devices is increasing constantly, it becomes more important for the PMIC to provide power to each part to allow it to reach its full potential.
Therefore, it introduces Fourth Industrial Revolution that has driven innovation to allow devices to become more portable, compact, and affordable. In the current era, many people own two or more devices, and this trend is driving PMICs to be faster, safer, more energy efficient, and more convenient.
Moreover, other than PMIC solutions, Samsung also explains its Security Solutions saying that it is much like the body’s immune system, which keeps us safe from outside invaders.
Security is the key component that protects our privacy and security across multiple platforms in our phones and other devices. System LSI, on the other hand, has been building up unique and market-proven expertise in anti-tamper and secure storage for the mobile, ID, and financial industries for more than two decades.
For mobile security solutions, System LSI tech has developed its Secure Element technology into an integrated secure AP solution to provide the same robust security as Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level (CC EAL) 5.
Whereas, for payment security, it has anti-tamper solutions that allow only one true owner to be authorized to use the system where Face ID and Fingerprints have been the most popular solutions to date.
