Blind Camera Test: Pixel 6a tops, Galaxy S22 Ultra survives while iPhone 14 Pro cries in the corner

Well-known YouTube tech content creator Marques Brownlee revealed the results of a blind camera test. And surprisingly, the Google Pixel 6a took the first spot, followed by the Pixel 7 Pro on second. Notably, Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra managed to survive in MKBHD blind camera test, while iPhone 14 Pro was found nowhere.
ELO Rating: MKBHD blind camera test results are based on an ELO rating system, which is based on various camera aspects including the “Best Overall” category, “Best HDR,” and “Best Portrait.” The camera comparison test includes 16 smartphones from various categories and global brands.

The YouTuber has 16.5 million subscribers, which were able to join the blind camera test and vote as per image samples. In the past, the camera comparison voting happened through social media but this year, there is a dedicated website where you show off your eagle eyes.

In the blind camera test, Google’s affordable Pixel 6a interestingly grabbed the “Best Overall” rank, snatching the crown from the Pixel 5a. The Pixel 7 Pro ranked second, Asus Zenfone 9 completed the top three ranking chart, while Galaxy S22 Ultra landed in fifth place and iPhone 14 Pro on seventh.
More specifically, Oppo’s Find X5 Pro picked the best device for the “Best Standard” shot, and Google Pixel 6a ranked second in terms of “Best Low Light” as the YouTuber has not revealed which was the best phone in low light test and the Pixel 7 Pro highly rated for “Best Portrait” shots.
