Earlier, a prominent leaker claimed through his Twitter post that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will officially run the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software. The tipster has not mentioned non-Ultra variants, however, the base S23 and S23 Plus are most likely to run the next One UI version.

Several trusted sources revealed that the Galaxy S23 series will be introduced on February 1st, maybe US time, which will be February 2nd for several other parts of the world. As it’s going to be an in-person event, the company might showcase One UI 5.1 features and improvements for the upcoming flagships.

One UI 5.1 – What to expect

The latest One UI 5.0 update brought plenty of new features and notable enhancements to the user interface. Still, there are some scopes of improvements such as better adoption of Android 13 operating system and the Material You theming engine.

Samsung rivals impressively adopted the Android 13’s Dynamic Theming engine. We have seen the user interface of OxygenOS and ColorOS skins based on the new operating system version, which looks a lot better and optimized than the One UI 5.

Way back in October, Samsung published a blog post on the Netherlands Newsroom, mentioning that some lock screen features will be compatible with version 5.1. It gave us our first official confirmation of the One UI 5’1 existence, however, more features are on our wishlist.
