[U: India too] Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is getting December 2022 software update in South Korea

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone users in India have started collecting the December 2022 Android security patch update with a minor performance boost.

The update addresses 80 issues and vulnerabilities that affect phone security and users’ privacy. These include 67 CVEs from Google’s Android OS and 13 SVEs from Samsung’s One UI software.

Samsung started rolling out December 2022 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in South Korea. The update mainly improves system security and stability along with fixes for about 90 CVEs for the Android operating system.

The latest December 2022 security patch brings fixes for five critical CVEs, sixty high levels of CVEs, and two moderate for Samsung phones and tablets. It’s worth mentioning that three Android CVEs aren’t applicable on Galaxy devices.

How to update

Samsung consumers can check new software updates manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.
