How to customize notification sound on your Samsung phone

Notifications are great to tell you if something new has happened to any of the applications on your smartphone so that you don’t miss anything. Therefore, Samsung offers you a variety of notification sound features so that you can easily customize notification sounds for text messages, email, or system notifications on your Galaxy phone.

The company also provides you the ability to set separate notification sound for different application so that you can easily identify the app notion when one comes on your phone. Additionally, there’s a functionality that lets you set your music files as notification sounds.

Customize Notification Sound:

System sound:

If you want your whole system’s notification to sound the same, it’s very simple to customize the sound. First of all, you need to enter the Setting of your phone and visit the Sounds and Vibration section.

Now tap on Notification sound and you can select which of your SIM’s notification sounds you want to change. Multiple options are already available here, just listen to them and choose the one that suits you by tapping on it. Now simply go back and is done.

Individual app notification sound:

In case, some applications are special and you don’t want to miss their notifications anyway, you can set different sounds for them. To do so, again go to the Settings app.

From here, enter the Apps section and select any app you want a separate notification sound. Now you can go to this app’s Notification area and change its notification sound individually.

You can also change the individual app notification sound by opening that app and going to its Settings.

Set Music files and notification sound:

If you are not satisfied with the available notification sounds, you download different music files from the internet and set them as your notification sound.

To do so, head over to the My files app and enter its Audio section. Next, touch and hold the music file that you want to set as the notification sound, and tap the Copy icon at the bottom. Now go back to the Home of the My Files app and select Internal storage.

Next, tap Essentials and select All to see all folders. From here, select the Notifications folder and tap the Copy here option. Now, you will see the copied music file on the list of notification sounds, and you can now set it as a notification sound.
