Samsung rolls out Android 13/One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy Tab A8 in India

Samsung is releasing the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy Tab A8 smartphones in India. This rollout was initially begun in Europe last week and now the company is expanding it to Indian customers, it should also reach other countries shortly.

The LTE variant of Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is getting the major Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update with build version X205XXU1CVL5 whereas, the users of Wi-Fi models can identify it through firmware version X200XXU1CVL5 in India.

One UI 5.0 features and changes:

Some of the most highlighted features of One UI 5.0 software include 16 color palette options for system UI customization, Extract text from images and videos, Lockdown mode for enhanced privacy, Per-app language to apply different languages to different apps, and two new swipe gestures for easier multitasking.

In addition, the update also brings Notification permission, the ability to turn off RAM Plus, a new Camera watermark feature, improved Picture/Video editing tools, new Lock screen customization options, and three new Settings menus – Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and Privacy.

Aside from these, other One UI apps and services like Edge Panels, Clock, Notes, Bixby, Good Lock, Samsung Internet, and others are also getting major changes, At the same time, the system user interface is now improved majorly.

Aside from these major changes, the latest update for Galaxy Tab A8 also installs the December 2022 Android security patch that addresses 80 privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities.
