Samsung One UI is the most refined custom software skin based on Android. Over the year, the company made great changes in its Galaxy-exclusive software system, but rivals are nowadays giving tough competition. We want Samsung to innovate more in One UI features for Galaxy devices.

Based on Android, there are a lot of custom skins such as MIUI, ColorOS, and OxygenOS as well as the unreliable HarmonyOS operating system. One UI is still the most beloved skin, but looks like, Samsung has stopped to innovate in One UI as we didn’t see any cool features for a long.

There is nothing notably innovative!

Samsung’s Color Palette is the worst version of Android 13’s Dynamic Theming feature, which initially debuted with Android 12. Themed App Icons feature still looks best on Pixel handsets, while, the Color Palette still lacks well-optimized functionality.

Text extraction can’t be defined as innovative as it debuted with the iOS 16 and almost every Android skin copied this feature. Since all software versions are not capable of perfectly grabbing text from images, Samsung must have to innovate more useful features.

Huawei’s HarmonyOS has nothing other than the Large Folders feature, which Samsung managed to hibernate with Smart Suggestions Widget. This pleasing widget packs apps as per your daily routine and activities, however, if Samsung fans want large folders, it must innovate in that field as well.

Since its birth, the One UI never got major user interface overhaul which became necessary now. Every year, the company is introducing new major iteration of One UI but consumers get bored just a few days after using it. All of these instances are signs of lack of innovation.

The Korean tech giant made homescreen and lockscreen personalization fun, and it’s the biggest change in the history of One UI. A lot of features are there that increase usability and productivity, but, Samsung can deliver way better than the current ones.
