You might have already used it but do you know, this feature also lets you extract text from video on your Samsung phone?

Yes, One UI 5.0 customers can also copy text from videos saved in their Gallery and they don’t need to perform any additional steps for this. This will make it easy for customers to extract some quotes or anything important from the video and send it to someone or save it for themselves.

To extract text from a video on your Samsung phone, all you need to do is save a video in your Galaxy phone’s Gallery and start playing that video. Once you reach the part of the video you want to copy text from, tap on the “Quick crop” option at the lower left of your screen.

Now tap on the picture it captures and then tap the yellow “Extract text” icon (T). Simply select the text you want to extract and then copy it. Now you can paste this text to any messages, documents, files, notes, or wherever you want to paste it on your Samsung phone.

Meanwhile, if the video is not saved on your phone, or you a watching a show on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or other platforms, you capture the screenshot of the part you want a text from and using the Extract text icon on the Gallery you can copy its text content.
