Due to higher-than-expected demand for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Samsung for Apple bought more than planned production from other suppliers such as AP Systems and HB Solutions in September last year. AP Systems produces Optical Clear Resin application equipment and HB solution produces Edge Light Blocking to prevent light leakage around camera lenses.

Following its own footprint, Apple plans to provide Pill shaped punch hole display to all iPhone 15 series models including the non-Pro versions i.e. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

Currently, Apple implemented the technology for two Pro models of its latest iPhone 14 series. Thanks to this, both the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models have the Smart Island function.

Apple has not yet implemented facial recognition technology under the screen, and the iPhone 15 series is not expected to be equipped with this technology. Under-screen facial recognition could be coming to future devices while Samsung already uses under-display technology in its high-end phones.
