Galaxy S23, S23+ or S23 Ultra: Which Samsung flagship will you buy in 2023?
It is now official that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series on February 1. The lineup will include three flagship Samsung phones – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, which one are you planning to buy this year?

Display:
The first difference you will notice is the display sizes of these phones. The S23 will flaunt a 6.1-inch display while the S23+ will use a 6.6-inch screen and the S23 Ultra will equip a 6.8-inch display.
All three phones feature a 120Hz screen refresh rate but you can only adjust the Ultra variant’s screen between 1-120Hz. The other two will have 48-120Hz refresh rates.
Processor and RAM:
All three Galaxy S23 phones are equipped with Galaxy-specific Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors worldwide. However, the RAM and storage variants of the top model are quite different. In addition to 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage, the Ultra variant also has 12GB RAM and 512GB and 1TB internal storage models.
Camera:
Rear –
The S23 and S23+ will feature the same specs when it comes to the camera. These include a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Both phones support 3x optical zoom and super-resolution zoom up to 30x.
The S23 Ultra will face a major camera upgrade this year. It will come with a 200MP primary camera while the 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, 10MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 10MP 10x telephoto camera. It will support 100x super-resolution zoom.
Front –
The Ultra model is expected to feature a 12MP front camera and the standard and the Plus models could come with 10MP selfie shooters.
Battery:
The S23 will feature a 3900mAh battery with 25W fast charging, the S23+ will feature a 4700mAh with 45W fast charging, and the S23 Ultra will feature a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. All three devices support 15W wireless charging.
Software:
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software. These phones will support four major Android OS and five years of security patch support which means they will get major updates till Android 17.
S Pen:
S Pen is exclusive to the Galaxy S23 Ultra model. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ do not support it.
