Here’s how you can use Separate app sound on your Samsung phone
We often use more than one audio application on our phone, for example, watching a YouTube video, Tik Tok, Instagram, or others during an ongoing call. To manage more than one application sound, Samsung smartphones offer a Separate app sound feature on Galaxy devices.
Separate app sound allows your Galaxy phone to shift the media sound from desired apps to external devices while keeping other sounds coming from the mobile device’s built-in speaker. It can be very handy when you want to play the sounds of two different applications on your phone.

Just tap on that option and turn the toggle on in front of the “Turn on now” option. This section also lets you manage the related function on your Galaxy phone. You can enter the “App” section and select the apps you want to play on a different audio device. If the desired application is not on the list, you can click on the “Add apps” option.
Next, there’s an “Audio device” option. When you tap on it, you can select the audio device you want to use for the apps you selected. These include:
- Phone
- Bluetooth devices
When you select “Phone”, you will be able to hear different sounds from the applications normally and you choose “Bluetooth devices”, your phone will offer you separate sounds when your phone is connected to a hearable Bluetooth device.
