A bunch of Samsung smartphones have grabbed the new January 2023 Android security patch update, with Galaxy S10 Lite being the latest to install it. This update is currently live for customers living in Spain (Europe), however, should soon reach other users worldwide.

Identified via One UI build version G770FXXS6HWA2, the January 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite brings some minor improvements to the devices that help in enhancing the user experience and delivering an uninterrupted performance through the device and One UI software.

In addition to this, Samsung’s January 2023 security patch details also mention that the company has fixed multiple privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities.

The patch brings fixes for 52 high levels of CVEs from Google’s Android OS that were harming system security. In addition to this, it also resolved 20 dangerous Galaxy-specific exposures from Samsung’s One UI software.

Samsung hints One UI 5.1 may not come to Galaxy S10 Lite:

Samsung recently confirmed its eligible flagship phones that will get the upcoming One UI 5.1 update. In the statement, the company says phones launched after Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Flip will get this update but the Galaxy S10 Lite was launched before these phones, which means it is an indication that the phone will not get One UI 5.1.
