Last month, Corning officially introduced the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with improved drop performance and durability on rough surfaces. And, the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra phones will be the first to use this glass and take its durability advantage.

For your information, the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is capable to last after dropping from heights of up to 1 meter on surfaces replicating concrete and up to two meters on surfaces such as asphalt, thus, making the Samsung Galaxy S23 phone tough and last longer.

At the same time, the company also claims that this glass can survive a scratch at a force of 8 Newtons (i.e. 8 kilogram-meters per second squared). However, the exact robustness can only be cleared when the phones will launch and go through various durability tests.
