[Note 20 too] Samsung Galaxy S21 gets January 2023 patches in India
Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra started getting January 2023 security patches in India. The release is happening a full month late and consumers living in India are feeling like they have owned a mid-range or budget phone, which is missing from Samsung’s priority.
Anyways, the February 2023 Unpacked is just a few hours away and the company is going to release the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Book3 series gadgets. With the new smartphone lineup, Samsung is bringing the One UI 5.1 firmware, which will be delivered to the Galaxy S21 series as well.

One UI 5.1 for Galaxy S21 is expected to release sometime in late February. Well, the January 2023 patches are now available to download on your Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus or S21 Ultra in India. Below, you can check the PDA firmware versions:

Samsung starts rolling out the January 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in India. The update comes with regular security improvements for the system as well as stock apps and services. Software versions:

- Note 20 Ultra – N986BXXU5GWA7
How to update
First, open your phone’s system Settings then scroll down until you see the Software update tab. Once reached, tap it and hit the Download and install button. It would take some time to fetch a new OTA on Samsung’s firmware server, lastly, follow on-screen instructions and that’s it!

Samsung has released a new update with the November 2024 security patch for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones. The update is available for users in Korea and the company will soon expand it to more countries.
November 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones F731NKSU4DXK8 and F946NKSU4DXK8 respectively. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models.
The fresh security patch fixes 52 vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung software. Google has patched 38 high-level issues, and one CVE doesn’t apply to Galaxy devices. Samsung has also addressed 13 issues, including bugs related to multiple users, Dex Mode, Galaxy Watch, and Settings.
This update improves security and device performance by bringing bug fixes and enhancements. Overall, users will get smoother performance after installing the update.
