What to expect
From a custom Snapdragon chipset to the highest resolution camera sensor, the Galaxy S23 series is ready to blow your mind. Similar to conventional strategy, the upcoming S lineup consists of three 5 G-supported models: Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra.
The Korean tech giant partnered with Qualcomm to bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Galaxy S23 smartphones to all consumers. At the same time, the Galaxy S23 Ultra features a massive 200MP camera sensor to set new standard of photography.
Besides, the Ultra could continue 12MP ultrawide with autofocus, a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto with 10x optical zoom. Vanilla S23 and S23 Plus feature 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10x telephoto with 3x optical zoom, alongside a 12MP selfie camera.
Aside from this, the Galaxy S23 lineup runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software pre-installed. And Samsung’s impressive software policy will make them eligible for major upgrades up to Android 17-based One UI 9.0 (tentative name) as well as regular patches until February 2028.
The battery capacity of the Galaxy S23 could be 3,900mAh, Galaxy S23 Plus’ 4,700mAh, whereas the Galaxy S23 Ultra’ 5,000mAh. Samsung’s 45W fast charging support is likely to be expanded to S23 Plus, leaving the exclusivity to Ultra variant.
