Recently, a tech YouTuber GoldenReviewer shared Geekbench results of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which makes it the first Android device to cross 1600 points in the single-core test. It’s worth mentioning that other users having the same unit reported that their model usually scores 1500 in a single core.

Talking about the multi-core test, the Galaxy S23 Ultra reached 5311 points on Geekbench, which is about 500 points higher than the usual tests. What’s the reason behind such high benchmark scores? Does the YouTuber tweak some functions to break the limits of performance?

Well, that’s not the case. The source further shared a score sheet of the big cover of various Android processors. On the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung developed a Light mode feature, which delivers 10% higher speed and 50% efficiency, whereas lessens power consumption by 40%.

When enabled, the One UI 5.1’s Light Mode feature prioritizes battery life and cooling efficiency over processing speed. However, the description of Standard mode reads “provides a recommended balance between processing speed, battery life, and cooling efficiency.”

Second, the Galaxy S23 Ultra uses a 2 times large vapor chamber than its predecessor for an efficient heat dissipation mechanism. The already overclocked CPU core helps it surpass even the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro gaming phone which has a much beefier cooling solution along with vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
