Samsung rolls out One 5.1 update for Galaxy S22 Snapdragon variant
Yesterday, Samsung finally started delivering the One UI 5.1 update to its eligible devices, with Galaxy S22 users being the first to grab it. Now the company is expanding the massive One UI 5.1 update for the Snapdragon variant of Samsung Galaxy S22.
The Galaxy S22 One UI 5.1 update unlocks a bunch of new features and improvements to be excited about. Additionally, it installs the fresh February 2023 patch that addresses over 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities and optimizes the system’s stability.

It’s worth mentioning that the One UI 5.1 update is only available for a few Samsung Galaxy S22 Snapdragon customers. It is rolling out in countries including India, Australia, and Nepal. You can identify it through the following software versions:

Galaxy S22 One UI 5.1 features:
Not everyone is able to purchase the Galaxy S23 smartphone due to its high cost, but luckily, Samsung is extending the features of these new devices to older ones through the One UI 5.1 update so that even recent Galaxy phone users can have their hands on the upgraded One UI offerings.
As per the official information, the One UI 5.1 update brings quick access to Expert RAW on the Samsung Camera app through the Advanced menu so that users can take full advantage of high-quality images without any compression.
The update further installs a bunch of new Gallery app features. It adds a new common family album to make sharing photos with your family easier than ever as well as brings more powerful searches, a convenient information display, and improved handling.
Moreover, the AR section is also getting notable improvements. The update adds the ability to use 3 emojis in the AR Emoji camera and improves the layout and editing in AR Doodles.
Other major improvements can be seen in the Widget section. The company adds two new and useful widgets, such as the Battery widget and the Intuitive weather widget. While the first one gives your phone and connected Bluetooth device information on the screen, the latter one offers a summary of the current weather conditions.
Samsung major improved the DeX feature with the One UI 5.0 software and now with One UI 5.1, it further improves its multitasking abilities. Meanwhile, the Bixby text call feature which was earlier only available in the Korean language now supports English as well.
Aside from these, the connectivity features of your Galaxy S22 are also improving with the new One UI 5.1 software. You can now easily invite people to share albums, notes, and calendars using a link that can be shared across apps like messenger, email, and social networks.
At the same time, you can also use your Galaxy Book’s mouse, keyboard, or trackpad with your Galaxy smartphone to easily copy and paste text and drag and drop images from one device to another.
