Samsung’s new display technology reduces Galaxy S23’s power consumption by 16%
We all are just surprised seeing the battery life improvements Samsung brought in the Galaxy S23 smartphones. Well, the company’s Display division has just revealed behind the scene developments, which resulting greatly reduced battery consumption.

According to Samsung Display, the Galaxy S23 series features low-power OLED technology. This new Samsung tech increases luminous efficiency by applying new organic materials. As result, it introduces reduced power consumption alongside increased brightness.
The company has made improvements to the organic material of Galaxy S23’s OLED, which helps electrons move faster and easier in the organic layer. Moreover, the power consumption is reduced by more than 13% to 16% compared to the previous one, thanks to increased luminous efficiency.
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 uses a 6.1″ display and 3900mAh battery, the Galaxy S23 Plus has a 6.6″ display with a 4700mAh battery, whereas the Galaxy S23 Ultra brings a 6.7″ display with a 5000mAh battery. Compared to their predecessor, the S23 series devices are amazingly refined to perform well.
The Galaxy-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor plays a key role in boosting the performance of the new Samsung flagship devices. Since it’s manufactured on 4nm process technology at TSMC, the efficiency and performance issues of 8 Gen 1 are greatly reduced.
Apart from the super smooth 120Hz display, Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with a long-lasting 5,000mAh (typical) battery and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy that minimizes load times and power use to make it best for gaming.
