Samsung’s great Flip phone gets a new competitor in the global market

Leaving its China exclusivity, Oppo Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone launched in the global market. This is the company’s first flip-style foldable phone, which is the toughest competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4, however, it’s not available in the United States.

As competition in the foldable smartphone market increases rapidly, Samsung needs to make major changes in its strategy. It’s not an easy task to fade away the reputation of a brand like Samsung, but, it hurts the market sales of evergreen products with better specs.

According to the information, the Oppo Find N2 Flip smartphone is available for pre-order in select European markets. The starting price is £849 in the UK,€1,099 in France and Portugal, and €1,049 in Spain, however, a special early bird discount drops the price to €999 in some markets.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 already had rivals of its kind such as the Motorola Razr 2022, and Huawei’s P50 Pocket. Now, Oppo has come up with its Find N2 Flip, delivering upgraded hardware and a bigger cover display to give tough competition to Samsung foldables’ dominance.

In more than a way, Oppo’s Flip phone is bigger than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. When folded, you can use the 3.23-inch cover screen, much bigger than the Flip 4, whereas the unfolding screen is larger at 6.8 inches. It comes with a 4,300mAh battery, which supports 44W wired charging, lacking wireless charging support.

Under the hood, Oppo Find N2 Flip is equipped with MediaTek’s 4nm Dimensity 9000+ chipset with 8/12/16GB of RAM, and 256/512GB of storage. It comes pre-loaded with Android 13-based ColorOS skin and promises smoother UX along with some copied Flip 4 features.

In the camera department, the Oppo foldable is far better than the Galaxy Z Flip 4, on paper. It brings a 50MP main camera, an 8MP fixed-focus ultrawide shooter, and a 32MP autofocusing selfie camera cut into the inner display. You can check all specs on the official Oppo website.
