Samsung’s latest firmware update for the Galaxy A33 5G comes with PDA build version A336NKSU3CWB3, carries a newer security patch, and a lot of explorable stuff. Meanwhile, you should keep in mind that the rollout is happening in a staged manner so availability may differ.

The Galaxy A33 5G, which came pre-loaded with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 upgraded to the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 later last year. The company is giving flagship-like treatment to this mid-range device such as three OS upgrade support and incremental One UI version updates.

For flagship Galaxy devices, the One UI 5.1 update introduces new widgets (battery status, dynamic weather, and Spotify Smart Suggestions), fluid system animation, a more powerful search function, the ability to change screenshots folder, and a lot more. Since a full changelog is awaited, below are the expected features:

One UI 5.1 makes it even easier to change the color tone while capturing selfies, thanks to the addition of a new toggle. In the Gallery app, there’s a new feature that matches Google Photos, letting users search for people by tapping on the face icon.

Remaster is no longer limited to perfecting just images as you can now enhance GIFs too. Moreover, this function now automatically removes shadows and reflections to display your photos in the best clarity. The preview has also been improved to make it easier to compare the original picture with the remaster.

Multitasking: With One UI 5.1, you can now maximize or minimize the app window without going to the options menu. Besides, the apps you use most often will be shown below your recently used apps to help you find the apps you need faster in Split-screen view.

One UI 5.0’s Dynamic Weather widget added interactive graphical animations, which display based on weather conditions such as sunny, raining, and snowing. However, the battery widget helps you get aware of the battery status of all connected devices apart from the phone itself.
