According to tipster IceUniverse, the South Korean variant of the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone features greatly reduced camera shutter lag in 50MP and 200MP modes. Today, Samsung started to roll out a new firmware update to the Galaxy S23 series devices. As per the info, the latest release improves the camera photography function and Gallery application. It shows the company is additionally polishing the overall user experience and camera of the new phones.
Coming back, camera shutter lag is the delay that occurs when hitting the capture button until the final image processing. A faster shutter speed makes it possible to quietly capture the second and third shots, which was quite low in previous Galaxy phones.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra reportedly decreased camera shutter delay in the high-resolution image capture modes including 50MP and 200MP. It can be further boosted using the Good Lock’s Camera Assistant plugin, but you need to compromise with quality.

Galaxy S23 Ultra
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a total of five camera sensors (four on the back plus a selfie snapper). On the rear side, there are four sensors including a 200MP main, a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, a 10MP telephoto with 10x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor.
